How can you gain business insight faster?
We have all faced situations where the task of integrating different data stores and formats is a never ending conundrum.
So, how can businesses get the insight and intelligence they need, quickly and efficiently?
It doesn't have to be painful at all
Many organisations are discovering data virtualisation. This technology is a powerful way to accelerate the time it takes to turn data into valuable information.
What if time to insight was 5 times faster
In our video here we’ll introduce a game-changing approach to show you a way of gaining insight up to five times faster than others.
You will discover how data virtualisation takes the pain out of integrating data, by seamlessly consolidating information from diverse sources.
Watch this video to see how data virtualisation accelerates the time it takes to turn data into valuable information.
Mastek's Data Virtualisation service delivers 5x improvement in time to data availability and reduces data integration costs by 60 percent.
Could you test software 50% faster?
Imagine if you could have your cake and eat it too! Like having your software testing to be both incredibly fast and exceedingly thorough, so you can hit every transformation milestone — on schedule, and defect-free.
How much time could you save?
Our 'right first time' testing processes typically cut 50% from the time our customers take to develop, maintain and execute functional software tests.
They also get more thorough testing with greater code coverage. All of which results in more defect-free releases at a significantly lower cost.
Use our calculator to find out
For just three minutes of your time, our testing time-saving calculator will give you an estimate of how much time we can save your organisation,. This is of course based on your actual testing experience.

We’ve rebranded… why?
We have come a long way, since 1982! It’s been a fantastic nine consecutive quarters of growth with revenue, EBITDA and employee numbers up. So why rebrand now? We have three reasons for this transition.
Attract great talent
With the growth trajectory we’re on, we need to attract the brightest and best to join us. For many potential employees, their first experience of Mastek isn’t meeting one of our great software engineers. It is the logo they see on our website. We come across as old fashioned compared to several of the organisations that we are competing against for top talent.
Perception by prospects
This misalignment between our brand image and the complex digital transformation solutions that we deliver also affects how prospective customers perceive us. We have all read the industry stats that indicate how up to 70% of the ‘buyer journey’ now takes place digitally. This is not an issue for our existing customers. They know what we can do and have seen our engineering talent in action. However, the experience is not so positive for prospective customers where their first impressions of Mastek are made based on a Google search or a LinkedIn post.
Divergence with the digital medium
On a more basic level, our old logo was difficult to replicate and did not work well in digital environments. We also needed a number of new brand assets. It made sense to take a strategic approach starting with the logo, rather than working through every individual asset.
That said we didn’t want to completely move away from our previous identity. We are proud of our history and heritage at Mastek and have purposefully kept a number of elements of our previous brand identity in the new one - to reflect that pride and continuity.
The bottom line is that through our new logo re-brand we strive to showcase the organisation we are now – a vibrant, growing, innovative provider of enterprise level digital transformation solutions. Check out our rebranded website to see if you think it has worked.

Introducing Mastek’s Graduate Development Programme
Graduate Development Programmes are high on the agenda for many technology companies. According to recent research, there are only 170,000 suitably skilled workers available to fill the 240,000 digital roles advertised each year. Therefore, it is important to introduce the next generation of tech evangelists. At Mastek, we’ve embarked on our graduate recruitment journey in the heart of Leeds City centre to help fill the gap in talent shortage.
Phase one of the programme took place on Monday, September 24th. It was a day filled with energy where volunteers from around the business helped with both, the group assessment and interviews. Laurence Wood, Mastek’s Agile Coach took the lead in breaking the ice, which definitely got the teams interacting with one another.
We had 25 eager graduates participate in the group assessment. They arrived at this stage following two steps of rigorous telephone interviews, to ensure that the calibre was high. The candidates demonstrated their skills and passion for technology during the assessment. Following this group assessment and a one-on-one interview, 18 graduates were selected to join Mastek in delivering digital transformation solutions for our customers.
The job offers are out and the start date set. It’s now back to planning for the next round of recruitment. Career fairs and presentation slots are booked in with various universities and Mastek is poised for a busy recruitment period ahead of the 2019 intake.

A key selection criteria set out in the ‘Best Agile Project’ category was ‘verification of project goals, importance, achievements and successful results.’
Using Agile methodologies, SLC working with key delivery partner, Mastek and supported by other teams delivered the UK government’s enhanced policy for Part Time Maintenance Loans (PTML) within highly aggressive timescales – essentially recovering 3 months based on initial delivery forecast.
Judges were looking for ‘demonstration of the best use of automation in a functional software testing project,’ as part of the criteria for the ‘Best Test Automation Project – Functional.’
Specsavers along with Mastek automated a digital platform from nothing to continuous integration with functional and performance test – achieving an automation coverage of 100% UI and 82% API’s, saving £3543/- in each regression cycle.
